Screen Sharing

Viewing your instructor's computer screen is the whole reason for our classrooms. There is nothing like learning by seeing a master perform their skill. Many times much is left out in a  software instruction manual and it always seems like there is something wrong with our experience with that software. Now our Instructors can show you their process and you can get your answers visually and at real-time.

Communication Tools: Classroom Chat, Teleconference, and VOIP

Part of learning is asking questions and getting answers. Our classrooms have 3 ways to communicate with the class and with the instructor. The most basic way is the classroom chat. You can both chat to the public space or you can private message the instructor with your question. We also have to voice options, one is the teleconference, where you can use your standard telephone to communicate with the whole class, and the other is VOIP (Voice Over IP), where the instructor can give you a virtual microphone to ask your question. The voice options will be up to the instructor's discretion.

Just like a regular classroom you can see and interact with the instructor. We are visual communicators, many of our ways of communication have been muffled because of technology. Gestures and facial expressions have always been tools that we use to get meaning across to people we are talking to. See our instructors teach while you learn about various softwares. Lets see you get that out of a technical book!

 

Lesson Plan

Our lesson based approach to learning achieves many things. First we are able to bring together all the knowledge on a particular topic and separate it into smaller more understandable pieces. Second, you can see how all the pieces fit together and also visually see how much you do and don't know about a particular topic. Third, you are able to advance you knowledge just in one area of learning and not have to go over the same introductory material over and over again. Fourth, our lessons are preplanned and developed to work with each other, so you can know what you will learn before hand.  You won't be given some general topic with a few vague bullet points beneath it, get a complete learning experience like you would at a University.

Zero Download

Everyone is skeptical nowadays of any kind of download that they need to do, and rightly so, there's tons of malware out there that has effected almost every one of us. Our classrooms require a zero download, which means, you don't need to install anything to run our classroom. Our classroom runs on the Adobe Flash platform which is most likely already installed in your browser. We run on Windows, Mac, and Linux!
